Burt Munro Cabinet in an Invercargill Arcade
Glasshape supplied the glass needed for the security cabinet to protect the Burt Munro Motorbike for display in Invercargill. Thanks to the Architect and installation team for the outstanding finish! Here are some snapshots of the opening ceremony, with Mr Tim Shadbolt [Southland Mayor] cutting the ribbon!! The curved cabinet looks terrific!
Glasshape used ‘GuardShield’ intruder resistant laminate coupled with toughened glass to meet the security standards required for this glass cabinet. The overall thickness was 12 mm, including the ultra robust laminate which preserves the masterpiece inside the cabinet, should it ever be attacked.
The finished article is an ultra-clear, intruder resistant non-scratching glass cabinet which has amazing aesthetics, very pleasing to the eye.
